You don’t have to take part in competitions if you’re a member of our club, but we heavily encourage it as it’s always so much fun! Here’s the details of all the competitions which will be taking place in the 2018/19 academic year. Our competitions secretary this year is James Rowe, so make sure to ask him (as well as any other exec member) about competitions if you have any questions.
SUTL is what 5/6 of our yearly competitions are hosted by. Standing for Southern Universities Trampoline League, we compete against a host of universities in the south and generally do quite well, last year taking away gold medals for execution and execution + difficulty!
BUCS stands for British Universities and Colleges Sport. It’s national and we compete every year- see below for details on this year’s comp.
Our first competition of the year the Bristol Trampoline Open takes place at the Bristol University precinct on the 23rd of November.
Hosted by Team Bath Evolution Trampoline and DMT club the SUTL Bath Open is our second competition of term 1. It’s on the 7th of December this year. We usually travel early on the Saturday of the event staying for the competition social overnight on Saturday.
The first competition of term 2, official SUTL competition hosted by Cambridge University Trampoline Club, which is on the 8th of February this year.
Nice and local, the University of Birmingham will host our 4th SUTL competition of the year on the 14th March 2020.
We enter into the British University and Sport Nationals (BUCS ), date and place tbc.
And as by tradition, in term 3 we compete at Southampton for our final competition. This year it’s on the 25th April.
